When I was younger, I used to love writing. As someone who was never particularly gifted in the typical arts like crafts and theater, reading and writing were my creative outlets of choice. As I’ve gotten older, I lost that habit. I started working, moved to the city, got married, and suddenly there never seemed to be enough time in the day.
I rediscovered writing through journaling as I began navigating life’s ups and downs. Expressing myself privately has become a form of comfort, helping me understand my thoughts and emotions in a way that was seemingly lost before. I learned to self-reflect, to be more accountable, and to take action. Putting feelings into words helps me understand myself and allows me to express my inner world.
It’s one thing to write prose that the world will never see, and another to post freely for anyone on the internet to get a glimpse of who I am. In an effort to be vulnerable and keep myself accountable to write more, I started this website. This is meant to be an outlet to share my thoughts, creativity, and inner life beyond my private journal. I’m not sure what I’ll share — it could be related to my work, to my personal life, or just random thoughts and beliefs. Whatever it may be, I’m excited for the journey ahead.
